The 8 amino acids in Payarmin: glutamine to carnitine
Payarmin's eight amino-acid lines are glutamine, tyrosine, arginine, beta-alanine, GABA, ornithine, tryptophan and carnitine. They sit at places 14 to 22 of the 200 mg blend, so each weighs at most 14.3 mg per mL. Studies on these amino acids used grams, which is hundreds of times more.

The eight lines01
Which amino acids are in Payarmin, and how much of each?
The label lists eight amino-acid lines: L-glutamine, L-tyrosine, L-arginine, beta-alanine, GABA, L-ornithine, L-tryptophan and L-carnitine. None of them has an amount on the label.
They fill places 14 to 22, the bottom of the blend. A line in place k can weigh at most 200 divided by k, so the whole group has small ceilings. The even split is 9.09 mg.
| Line | Place | Most per mL | Studied dose |
|---|---|---|---|
| L-glutamine | 14 | 14.3 mg | About 15-45 g a day |
| L-tyrosine | 15 | 13.3 mg | No verified source |
| L-arginine | 16 | 12.5 mg | 2-20 g a day |
| Beta-alanine | 17 | 11.8 mg | 1.6-6.4 g a day |
| GABA | 19 | 10.5 mg | No verified source |
| L-ornithine | 20 | 10 mg | No verified source |
| L-tryptophan | 21 | 9.5 mg | No blood sugar dose |
| L-carnitine | 22 | 9.1 mg | 2-3 g a day |
The scale02
How do Payarmin's amino acid amounts compare with study doses?
Study doses are counted in grams, and Payarmin's ceilings are counted in milligrams. One gram is 1,000 mg.
Take carnitine. A meta-analysis in type 2 diabetes used 2 to 3 g a day (NIH ODS, Carnitine). Payarmin's ceiling is 9.1 mg per mL, so even two droppers allow at most 18.2 mg. Three grams is about 165 times that.
Arginine shows it too. Sports studies used 2 to 20 g a day with little or no performance effect (NIH ODS, Exercise & Athletic Performance). Two droppers cap arginine at 25 mg, under one percent of 2 g.
Beta-alanine tingles at single doses of 800 mg or more, and its safety data span 1.6 to 6.4 g a day (NIH ODS, Exercise & Athletic Performance). A ceiling near 12 mg is far from that tingle line.
Study results cannot be borrowed for Payarmin. Neither can the side effects of those doses.
Who should ask03
Which amino acids in Payarmin need a medicine check?
L-tryptophan and L-arginine are the two lines to raise with a pharmacist if you take prescriptions.
L-tryptophan should not be used without medical advice alongside MAO inhibitors, tramadol, dextromethorphan, meperidine, sedatives or serotonin-raising supplements such as 5-HTP and St. John's wort (Drugs.com, L-tryptophan). A 1989 outbreak of eosinophilia-myalgia syndrome was traced to manufactured L-tryptophan, mostly from one maker (NORD, Eosinophilia-Myalgia Syndrome). We know of no link to this product, and the label does not name the manufacturer.
Arginine can lower blood pressure and may add to blood-pressure medicines (MSKCC, Arginine).

- L-tyrosine, GABA and L-ornithine: we found no verified safety source, so we say so. Ask a physician if you have thyroid, liver or kidney disease.
- L-carnitine: about 3 g a day can bring nausea, cramps and a fishy odor (NIH ODS, Carnitine). Payarmin is nowhere near that.
Never stop or change a prescription because of a supplement. Tell your prescriber about every bottle you use.

FAQ06
Amino acids in Payarmin: common questions
How many amino acids are in Payarmin?
Eight. The label lists L-glutamine, L-tyrosine, L-arginine, beta-alanine, GABA, L-ornithine HCL, L-tryptophan and L-carnitine inside the 200 mg blend. It prints no amount for any of them, only the blend total.
How much L-carnitine is in Payarmin?
The label does not say. L-carnitine is last of 22 lines, so it can weigh at most 9.1 mg per mL, and no more than 18.2 mg at two droppers. Studies in type 2 diabetes used 2 to 3 g a day (NIH ODS, Carnitine).
Does Payarmin have enough arginine to affect blood pressure?
We cannot tell. Arginine can lower blood pressure and may add to blood-pressure medicines (MSKCC, Arginine), but its Payarmin ceiling is 12.5 mg per mL. If you take such medicine, ask your pharmacist anyway.
Can I take Payarmin with an antidepressant because of the L-tryptophan?
Ask your prescriber first. L-tryptophan should not be used without medical advice with MAO inhibitors or other serotonin-raising drugs and supplements (Drugs.com, L-tryptophan). Its cap is 9.5 mg per mL, but the label cannot confirm less.
Why do Payarmin's amino acids sit at the bottom of the blend?
Because the list runs most to least by weight, and these eight appear at places 14 to 22. That means each weighs no more than the lines above it, and at most 14.3 mg per mL (21 CFR 101.36 (eCFR)).
Is beta-alanine tingling a concern at Payarmin's ceiling?
Unlikely. Harmless tingling appears at single doses of 800 mg or more (NIH ODS, Exercise & Athletic Performance). Payarmin caps beta-alanine at 11.8 mg per mL, far below that figure.
