Do Blood Sugar Supplements Work? The Trials in Plain Numbers
Blood sugar supplements work only a little, in some studies, at doses far above a liquid drop. Ginseng cut fasting glucose by about 5.6 mg/dL across 16 trials, with no A1C change. The The ADA finds no supplement that is proven to lower glucose. No trial of Payarmin is named.

What is the short answer on supplements and glucose?
The short answer is "a little, sometimes". Evidence is small, mixed and often measured against the person's own baseline.
The ADA finds no supplement proven to lower blood glucose without a deficiency (ADA, Vitamins & Supplements). NCCIH says most supplements lack support for diabetes (NCCIH, Diabetes and Dietary Supplements).
Both agree on one practical point: talk to your doctor before you add one.
What did the trials of gymnema, ginseng and chromium find?
They found small shifts with large variation. None tested Payarmin.

Five points of fasting glucose is small beside the line between normal (below 100) and prediabetes (100-125) (NIDDK, Diabetes & Prediabetes Tests).
Why can a drop not match the doses in the studies?
Space is the limit. One milliliter holds a 200 mg blend shared by 22 lines, about 9.09 mg each on an even split.
The studied gymnema dose was 200-400 mg of extract a day (Drugs.com, Gymnema monograph). The label ceiling for gymnema, eighth in the list, is 25 mg.

Is a 5.6 mg/dL drop in fasting glucose meaningful?
It is small. The cut between normal and prediabetes is 100 mg/dL, and the ginseng pooled result moved fasting values by about 5.6 and left A1C alone. Variation between trials was high, so it is not a reliable personal result.
Why compare a study to baseline instead of a placebo group?
Baseline comparisons show change over time, not cause. People often improve when they join a study. The 2021 gymnema meta-analysis compared with baseline, which is one reason its result is weaker than it sounds.
Do these results apply to Payarmin drops?
Not directly. The trials used single ingredients at set doses. Payarmin hides single amounts inside a 200 mg blend, and no study of the product is named.
